You Raise Me Up

Recorded live in studio october 20th 2008

October 8th 2008 was a devastating day for Stig - both his 16 days old godson and his 82 year old great-uncle died, on opposite sides of Norway.
His godsons funeral was the priority, but his bereaved great-aunt had a special wish as well.
So with a playback bought off the net, Stig went to the studio and recorded "You Raise Me Up" to be played at his great-uncles funeral,
while he was singing for his godson at the other side of the country

Then, on July 22nd 2011, tragedy struck Norway with a bomb attack in Oslo and a massacre at the Utøya island youth camp.
Despite grief and devastation, Norway stood together in determination, loving care and peace in the face of hatred.
A video was made to Stigs recording, with images from the tragedy and the reactions of the aftermath -
